Medium to full bodied, pretty dense but very low tannins and gentle acidity, delivering pepper, licorice and a modest dose of ripe sweet dark fruit. Surprisingly short on the palate given the alcohol-level. Don't think it will improve since the fruit is going downhill and the acidity is low.
