Friday, May 28, 2021 - Ordered at a restaurant where the bottle was uncorked and poured, this limpid, light golden Chardonnay offers aromas and flavors of baked apples, citrus, almonds, tropical fruit and allspice. Medium-bodied and with impressive freshness (particularly considering 100% malolactic conversion), it has good mid-palate density, well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%) and oak that, while substantial, does not overwhelm the flavors. Medium and crisp on the back end, this is a solid New World Chardonnay that should be at its best over the next couple of years. Drink now-2023.
