Saturday, March 7, 2020 - La Paulée 2020 Grand Tasting of 2017 Burgundy (Pier 60, New York): Medium weight. Ripe, spicy black fruit gives way to outstanding acidity and soil at the back end. A tad less impressive and impactful than the Clos Vougeot which stole my heart today, but another outstanding Grand Cru wine with a bright, long future. It may well turn out to be finer if not as big boned as that wine.
