97 Points

Sunday, April 4, 2021 - blind. Pours a light golden color, into a Glasvin expression, which worked very nicely. initially a bit concealed behind cold temperature, as it warmed, the wine opened to reveal layer upon layer of dripping nectarine, apricot purée, honeysuckle, and more. This was my second time to taste this bottling, and I was happy to guess 2017 Condrieu blinded. Probably should have put my neck out there on Vernay, as this is absolutely world class. If anyone knows of a better viogner on the planet, I’m all ears.

4/4/2021 8:14:00 PM - Chateau Grillet is the most likely competition. If really interested I know a place you can get it not visible on Wine-Searcher... from a great older vintage...

4/5/2021 8:01:00 AM - That one I referred to is ~$100 below only other visible availability. 2006 vintage. It’s fantastic.
