Tuesday, December 19, 2017 - Fifth red wine tasted at Haskell Vineyards and third from their flagship range. This bottling which is made up of 100% Shiraz from the highest elevation vineyards on the estate. Aged for 14 months in 10% new French oak.

Deep ruby red. Dark and savory nose with dark berries, blue fruits, some flowers and dried herbs. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Dark palate with cranberries, currants, dark cocoa, tobacco and some herbs. Very dry and long length finish. Drink till 2027.
