Thursday, July 9, 2020 - Wine doth have medicinal qualities! The last couple bottles of wine I had I couldn't smell very well, began to wonder if it was a symptom of COVID. Nope, this wine tells me the old smeller's just fine. Very impressive Burgundy at this price--or even triple the price I paid ($23). Nice to look at and smells of autumn leaves, black cherries, and some touch of funk I can't place that makes the nose very eclectic and even exotic. Lovely in the mouth as well, great grip, especially at the back end, and nice hint of sweetness at the front. Juicy and giving. The finish is a tad short, but I could care less given the other charms of this beauty. This punches way, way above its weight class. Glad I bought more than one. 5-13-17-8: 93/100.
