Friday, January 13, 2023 - Dinner with the W's and B's (Fiorentini in Rutherford, NJ): PnP, chilled - but definitely improved with 20 minutes of air as we waited for the appetizers. A consistently crowd-pleasing medium plus to full bodied Cali white Bordeaux blend. The Semillon (65%) muscles out the Sauvignon Blanc (33%) on both the nose and the palate to present stone fruits, yellow apple, lemon, minerality and just a touch of grapefruit. The acidity is quite juicy and up to the task of balancing the wine. Should hold for many years.
