Wednesday, May 17, 2023 - Simply astounding. This bottle was disgorged in 2009 and represents one of the finest Initials I have tasted. We used Bordeaux glasses, and the color was an iridescent deep golden hue. On the nose, an intoxicating scent of apricots, honey, and mineral. On the palate, the classic maderized profile of Selosse wines, with an unctuous viscosity with notes of apricots and honey notes. This was drunk with an appetizer of raw oysters and tune poke, as well as mains of black cod and chilean sea bass. Looking forward to drinking this special wine again in the future.
