Monday, December 11, 2023 - My first Initial. Truly shocked at how unique this was. Had to check twice to make sure it was a BdB. Such a deep, red wine character to the nose and palate. Eventually landed on the primary tasting note, which is unquestionably whisky barrel. It’s so prevalent that I’d almost be shocked if there wasn’t an ex-whiskey barrel involved (I know there wasn’t but still.) Other than that it was very balanced and tight — some soft acidity, light toast notes, some strawberry on the nose. Creamy mousse. Really a lovely bottle.
