Lovely deep nose, showing Pinot Noir fruit profile , despite beeing a Bl. d Bl. wine (almost like in a red Bourgogne wine) with ripe raspberries and sweet strawberries, some peras, herbs and a touch of gunpowder and match stick.
Very attractive.
Palate is balanced, with sweetness and acidity playing in fine harmony, sweeter tropical fruits, spicy with minerals, long finish with some oak bitterness showing.
Very good bottle of bubbles, keep it for another 5 years, and you will be rewarded.

6/22/2015 5:36:00 PM - Agreed across the board. Selosse is a rockstar. How do you compare it to Substance? We have, alas, only one more bottle, but do plan to wait a few years before sipping. It will only get better!!! Thanks.
