Wednesday, September 14, 2016 - A very huge bouquet of oak, vanilla, lemon, citrus and flowers. The colour of the champagne was a deep yellow not unlike aged burgundy. The nose had a lot of depth and weight to it. The palate was equally heavy and somewhat similar to a burgundy. The wine also appeared to be slightly unctuous. The complexity was quite astounding with flavours of white flowers, lemon zest, citrus and grapefruit. The transition from mid palate to finish was also seamless. Had very good, focused length.
