Community Tasting Note

Saturday, May 13, 2017 - Disgorged October, 2013. Full yellow, still lively mousse. Wonderful mellow nose of toffee, ginger, and orange. Full, some oxidative notes, but terrific mix of apple and citrus, fine mineral edge. On a knife's edge between youth and maturity. I really liked it at this stage.

5/14/2017 4:15:00 PM - Do you know the disgorgement of this bottle or whether it was aged at all since release? I picked up a few but they are still youthful and was wondering whether I should hold for a few years.

5/14/2017 9:03:00 PM - My apologies. I went back to the note and added the disgorgement date (which happened to be October, 2013). A matter of taste, of course, but I have found that I prefer this bottling on the fresher side, say within 5 years or so of the disgorgement date.

5/14/2017 9:33:00 PM - Thanks! Mine are from 2016, so I have a few years to drink them.
