Saturday, May 23, 2020 - The grand finale for my 40th birthday celebration (Adam's, Logan Square, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose was highly aromatic and deep with it showing the classic oxidative style with almonds, toast, roasted nuts, bruised apples, spiced pears, baker's vanilla, cider, dough, and brioche.

Taste: The feel is Medium/full bodied with tart, high acidity. There was a bit of punch to the acidity, but it was beautifully integrated and seamless. There was good weight and depth to the feel with toast, red apples, almonds, roasted nuts, bruised apples, cider notes, dough, and brioche.

Overall: I wasn't able to get the disgorgement date down on this. That said, it was a wonderful and quintessential Selosse and that is all one really needs.
