Friday, October 30, 2020 - Disgorged in October 2008. Spectacular bottle that amazed a table of veteran wine aficionados. very elegant, intricate, smooth. no tertiary notes yet. A brilliant bottle which showed much improvement from the one I had a few years ago (same disgorgement date).

I purchased 2 Initial disgorged at the same time and the improvement I was referring to was between these 2 bottles. Bottom line, it's worth cellaring them for some time.

11/16/2020 5:47:00 AM - Thanks for the comment. Seems like WB and CT comments generally point to 2-6 yr bottle age post disgorgement at least for the NV ones. Seems the closest to a ‘consensus’ is some bottle time is beneficial but not like other less oxidative top flight cuvées. But the volume is so low on these it’s hard to compare. Just got access to a number mostly 5-13 yr post disgorgement so we shall see!
