Saturday, April 10, 2010 - Upon opening, this had a funky Rhonish nose, but it eventually blew off after 30 minutes and started to soar. Kept getting more balanced and exhibiting great depth by the the final glass one hour in. Recommend a 60-minute decant minimum if opening right now. Plush and lush, with lots of layers of dark-fruited flavors. Some interesting pickling spice notes occasionally flashing through.
