Saturday, May 14, 2016 - The good news is the bottle is pristine -- and authentic, there sure was a lot of fake '05 La Tache out there. The bad news is it was infanticide. This wine is a massive black hole, but happily not too tannic to enjoy. The many layers are just hinting at coming out of their shell. Such a privilege to taste this legendary wine, though I would strongly recommend keeping hands off for at least another 10 years, or even better, 25 years.
