Friday, March 28, 2008 - A solid domestic Blanc de Noirs. Golden color. Nice nose with aromas of toast and berries. Tons of mousse. Medium-bodied, simple tart palate with fruity flavors of raspberries. Brut, with a just a bit of sweetness. Fairly large bubbles, but with a nice level of effervescence. Pleasant medium-length finish. Decent enough value and very food friendly. This was my first experience with Gruet’s sparklers, and I certainly look forward to trying their other offerings as well as this one again.
