Thursday, March 21, 2024 - This blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 2% Cab. Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot is singing strong just now. Deep purple at its core with plum on the rim. Loads of plum, cassis, cedar, licorice, and mint. Definite finish of vanilla. The round tannins glide across the palate. Plenty of life left in this wine. A bit of grainy sediment in the bottle following decanting. 13.8% alc. With grilled (beef) sirloin steaks under sauteed mushrooms for late, quick weeknight meal. 03.21.24. Recommended.
