Sunday, February 6, 2011 - Drunk over 3 days, much better on the 3rd day. A little brick red rim, mostly deep garnet. Very complex nose with different profile each time i return to the glass, figs, tobacco, cedar, plums, cassis, cocoa, dried fruit, leather, licorice. Palate was not congruent with nose, a bit like biting into an unripe pluot, with flavors evolving to black olives and celery. Mid length finish thats a bit minty, and still chewy. A more pleasant tAsting experience when I gargled, as it brought out more fresh mint and fruit flavors, otherwise palate was dominated by olive and other vegetal notes.
