It doesn't that sheer lightness of touch and gentle fruit I usually expect from Truchot, nor does it have that green herbal edge of the '04 vintage - the fruit's surprisingly rich and intense here, lifted by sharp acids beneath but with no real green aspects. Unusual, but very enjoyable.
