Sunday, September 6, 2009 - Marking more than half way up the cork. Air may have succeeded in getting in as there are sherry and Rioja-esque vanilla whiffs. Decanted an hour. Fair bit of orange-brown here. Nose has some positive red-cherry and animal fur. There’s that ’04 vegetal aspect, here manifest as rotting vegetables – compost heap stuff. Tight, narrow, strawberry and marmite are supported by the acidity, and there is length. A certain class; and fair drinking. V high; tugging through in every non-food finish. It does stand a chance to be alive and easier in c4 years. A chance; not a probability. 86 to 87 now, 86.
