Monday, September 28, 2009 - Decanted ~45 minutes. Big up front fruit on the nose and palate, black cherry, some black currant, but accompanied by aggressive oak with lots of toast and vanilla. While there is enough fruit to handle it, at this point the oak was a little to dominant for me, particularly on the finish. Well made wine, but definitely doesn't merit the 94 rating.
