Thursday, December 23, 2010 - Decanted for about 45 mins. Dark purple color. Very interesting nose of pine tar, green pepper and Christmas spices. Blackberry, cassis and a good deal of vanilla and toasted oak notes on the palate. Big, creamy mouthfeel but refined. Balanced tannin and acid. Long finish. Very nice wine.
