Sunday, December 25, 2016 - Tasted blind. A core of murky gaminess surrounded by chocolate and ripe blueberries and black cherries with hints of black pepper and other spices. Lovely garrigue on the nose. Big tannins on the finish, like highly extracted black tea. The kind of wine Robert Parker would love.

Guess the wine: Rhone blend. Chateauneuf du Pape?
