Sunday, November 30, 2014 - Medium red core. Like one other bottle, a transient whiff of surmaturite, but once that passed, kaleidoscopic cherry, raspberry, blood orange and cinnamon spice. Gorgeous, light, elegant feel. All of those juicy fruits complemented by the spice, soil, and a light dusting of green herbs framed by wonderful acidity and little remaining tannin to speak of. Absolutely wonderful and so singular in the universe of Chateauneuf. I'd say drink now and over the next 3-4 years for maximal enjoyment. Based upon this bottle, I am really curious about the Rayas' state of maturity at this point.
