Certainly some rustic CdR elements there, including a little bit of barnyard, but overall came off as a very clean, well-delineated Rhone wine, with huge minerality, lots of raspberry and ripe cherry fruit. Nice tannic structure, and balanced acidity, good finish. J. didn't like it so much on the first day, which surprised me, but she (or the wine?) came around on day two. Distinctive. 90-91.
