Tuesday, October 18, 2016 - Brought to restaurant and decanted 60+ minutes before serving. Perhaps an off bottle as this underwhelmed. Seemed a touch oxidative on the nose in spite of pristine cork and fill. Palate was better, evoking hot, sun baked stone with some gritty cinnamon and a hint of maraschino cherry. Clean finish of moderate length. The high quality of the raw material was apparent, but the product was, holistically, disjointed.
