Tuesday, March 22, 2022 - This wine is truly compelling. It was as much so this evening, as it was Sunday at the winery. The aromatics are intoxicating - deep red fruit with mushroom/forest floor. I did get an overt whiff of alcohol in my last glass but that didn’t detract from the experience (though it did result in a point subtracted from my score). The flavors were not much different and it is nicely integrated and so, probably drinking at its prime. The final sip had Kalamata Olive and smoked meat. A very enjoyable bottle of wine that’s drinking great at this stage.
