Likes this wine:

Tuesday, November 8, 2022 - 13% alcohol. From a half bottle. Synthetic cork with a pathetic attempt to mimic a natural cork. Pretty deep colour with no thinning at the rim.
The nose is just glorious, with a basket of red fruit including cherries, raspberries and loganberries; classy and harmonious with a suggestion of leather to add complexity. Similarly pleasing in the mouth provided that you don't object to marked acidity; superbly lively with excellent grip and very good length.
The contrast with Rossignol-Trapet's Gevrey-C vv 2010 that I had two days ago is striking: the Givry displays all the Burgundy magic that was sadly missing from the Gevrey (what a difference a few vowels can make).
In the top three Burgundies that I had this year.
A repeat purchase unless prices become obscene.
