Thursday, August 20, 2020 - Med deep ruby/brick.
Nose > Red, tart & black cherry, strawberry & dried strawberry, anise, potpourri, cooking spice, camphor, nutmeg &
slight touch of cinnamon. Hint of cherry/raspberry cola.
Palate > Big & tight, with tons of sappy red & wild berry fruit, strawberry, sumac, choke cherry, cherry bark & similar spice amalgam as on nose.
The fruit overlays the spice in the mouth. Big, grippy, slightly/med drying tannins.
The balance of this wine is weighted to tannin & acidity, with fruit bringing up the rear.
Med+ acidity. Med/med+ intensity.
Long-ish finish that carries tight, wild & hint of slightly underripe fruit & cherry bark along with the + acidity & grippy tannins.
