Wednesday, March 3, 2021 - Pleasant but not especially exciting Puisseguin.

Low toned dark fruit and a touch of smoke on the nose for the first half hour or so then the smoke subsided.

Sweet plum & black cherry upfront then a slightly tart red cherry middle, enjoyably bitter edged tannin to finish. Soft oak & fine talcy grip.

Next day same but the finish developed a little hot spice.

The lusher aspects of this are all front & middle then it thins pretty quickly. Will certainly hold and may smooth out but I can't see this improving a great deal.

Merlot/Cab Franc/Cab Sauv. 14% I paid £19.

Edit: Still good on day 3 & 4 sat in the bottle at room temperature. Tart red cherry was gone by 4th day.
