The palate is very distinctive though but not particularly pleasant - hints of blackcurrant, burnet, elder blossom, speedwell, peppermint, sage, marshmallow, thyme, lady’s mantle, horehound, plantain, cowslip, yarrow and mallow. Ok, so that's the ingredient list from Ricola blackcurrant cough drops ... but that's what it tasted like. Thin, green, herby, mercifully short bitter finish.
