Saturday, January 16, 2021 - A blend of riesling, sauvignon blanc and friulano. Nicola Manferrari made these into a beautiful, completely integrated wine. Just a touch of green, gunpowder type smell is a give away for the sauvignon and is nicely complemented by fruit and minerals. On the palate the same elements are apparent together with an agreeable and soft, oily mouth feel. Lovely orchard fruit leads to intense acidity going perfectly well with the mineral base. Do I detect some ginger and cinnamon? Intense, complex and a great balance and quite a long citrus fruit finish. Lovely!
