Monday, March 11, 2013 - A nice mature Zin. Its lost is juicy, jammy, flabby fruit and replaced it with a silky, smooth feel of integrated tannins, character and some little finesse. It is still very balanced and the 15.1%+ alcohol isn't really noticeable except at perhaps the end of the finish, (and only fleeting at that). Some savory/leathery elements on the palate with a touch of the old vine sweetness that old vine Zin is known for. Very nice. 88+ but drink up - this is at the top and will only slide from here.
