Monday, May 13, 2019 - At Rare Wine Company Riojanas Monte Real tasting in SF. A rare white Monte Real. Apparently they stopped making this some time ago, which is a shame given the quality of this wine. I have several cases of LdH Tondonia whites and love them, but this was even better. Rich, deep but also light on its feet. Fresh and bright with only mild oxidized notes. Remarkable and a real treat.
40% Viura, 30% Malvasia, 25% White Garnacha, 5% Maturana
