Sunday, October 3, 2021 - {screwcap, 14%} Crimson ruby. Looks youthful. Aroma has dark chocolate and currants. Eventually manages a touch of sweetness. No sign of the Margaret River green that is my bête noir. Currants, blackberry and plum. Understated oak. Medium weight, with some alcoholic heat loading it up a bit. Medium dusty tannins. Bit of a mid-palate hole, and the finish is shortish and fairly patchy. Ok wine; worst you could say is that it’s a bit anonymous. Keep as long as you’d like, as long as you don’t expect a revelatory evolution...
