Monday, August 2, 2021 - Tasted blind. Correctly identified as Counoise (it was my wine).
Pale to medium ruby, just a bit of bricking on the edges. Earthy, savory, leathery notes galore; Raspberry, dark cherry, licorice, and pepper. Acid and tannin are subtle in structure. Definite rhone-varietal feel... would have thought Grenache had I not picked Counoise for the tasting.
