Tuesday, September 14, 2021 - Toro Pago La Jara vertical tasting. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of dark red plums, purple fruits, bueberries, black cherries, hot stones background, some dark spice and some cinnamon. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), structured high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red plums, black cherries, dark red cherries, purple/bue fruits, sweet spices. Long structured finish.
Good quality. Lots of ripe fruits but not raisiny. Quite well done. And finally, here we have a real Toro with some good spine.
