Monday, October 21, 2013 - In the glass the '05 Lytton Spring was an impenetrable, deep, dark purple color. The nose showed rich cherry and spice drop candy with floral tones, plum and hints of undergrowth. On the palate, it was juicy, with silky textures, as ripe black fruit and spiced cherry soothed the senses. The fruit brightened to blackberry, with a hint of tropical citrus and inner floral tones on the finish. The slightest hint of tannin remained, grounding you in reality.
