Tuesday, October 28, 2014 - Dark maroon center with garnet rim. He nose seemed very reserved compared to my previous bottle - plum and dark cherry with a little smoke. On the palate, there is plum and black cherry as well as a mineral steak, but the fruit seems to be drying out a bit. Structurally, the tannins seem to be overtaking the fruit in this medium-bodied wine, and as a result, the finish seems clipped. Overall, this bottle seemed more tannic and less deep than my previous bottle, but it was good with food.
