But the flavor makes up for the aromas: lots of chocolate, plums, herbs, and a little smoked bacon. The finish lingers, a bit like chocolate with black pepper. Lots of structure, I opened this one a tad early. Will look for another bottle to try in a year or two. Puts cab franc right in the spotlight. 13.5% alcohol.
