Saturday, November 13, 2021 - From glass. Large nose of sweet lemon, and mostly that; possibly something rockier. And, a big palate too. Fruit sweetness offset by acid, beautiful and complex palate of citruses and tropicals and petrols and bitters. Some alcohol firmly tucked away there behind all this, so can imagine this showing ugly with the wrong bottle or for the wrong palate, but for me really, really in the zone today. Sharpness to the acidity, including an end-palate "flintiness" to be perceived as "minerality," but while this is certainly Alsatian Riesling, there's enough "body" here to satisfy a chardonnay drinker. Terrific wine.
