Monday, July 30, 2007 - bought this on the recommendation of a local wine shop guy. this was pretty good. needed about 45 minutes to open up, prior to that it was pretty acidic (to be fair, it did come out of the wine fridge). mixed notes of iron and meat (only a little) and blackberry. also a bit of a floral note. big entry with ripe berries. fairly hollow mid-palate. nice acidity on the finish which made me wonder what some age would do. nice medium weight. i have half a bottle in a 375 that i can taste tomorrow.
