Wednesday, February 25, 2009 - Slightly hazy dark reddish purple hue. Dark red current, dark fruit, touch of cinnamon and clove. The palate is medium but very juicy full of fruit with dark fruit, spice box, present but nicely integrated tannins and juicy acidity. Finishes with lingering fruity-ness and a little bitterness but drinking just about perfectly now. Again, right now, this vintage is not for the long haul but it is very well made wine.
