Wednesday, February 10, 2021 - As I sipped this wine, I was immediately reminded of the movie Armageddon where Bruce Willis is left behind to trigger the nuke and after the folks in the escaping space shuttle debate the wisdom of returning once the required period of time has passed, Ben Afflect says, "Harry will do it. I know. He doesn't know how to fail." This wine is good. The Halls don't know how to fail. It's dark and has a nose of cassis. The palate is intriguing because it offers up both a fresh fruity dark berry along with a touch of earthiness to convey a semblance of age. Two faced, you might say. The tannins are solid suggesting a few more years may benefit this wine. A moderate finish. Very nice wine and at $50 a great deal. Well worth it.
