Monday, March 25, 2024 - Medium to dark purplish ruby, looks young. This is very elegant. Complex and develops positively in the glass, with a lot of woody and Christmas spice, earthiness, dark berry fruits, and some mint. A lot going on, but already very harmonious. Quite a compact, powerful palate with good fruit intensity and quite a lot of ripe yet grippy (rubbery?) tannin. Good length. This is a lovely, well balanced, elegant wine which really showcases what can be achieved with these grapes which are far too often used to produce rather clunky wines. Ought to develop positively with further age.
