Saturday, April 11, 2020 - Definitely better than my previous bottle. Decanted but it was drinking well from the get-go. Nose is on the brooding, smoldering, dark fruit, baking spice side. Palate has great acidity and leans a bit more towards red fruits like cherry and a hint of raspberry. Sappy and tannic but overall nicely balanced. It’s in a good place now but I am skeptical it’s going to last a lot longer. Drink over the next few years with something confit like duck or chicken.
