88 Points

Sunday, October 22, 2023 - Decanted. Medium, dark-garnet with clarity. Aromas of steeped red cherry & red apple skin, tea leaves, fresh hibiscus and nutmeg. Sour cherry and pomegranate flavors, dried herb, sandalwood and earth depth. Refined balance up front but slightly fading through the palate. Medium-plus acid, billowy round tannins, dry juicy finish, short to medium length. It tastes good, but is underwhelming structurally. Struggled to stand up to a Bolognese pairing. Drink now or hold, doesn’t need decanting.
