Sunday, October 1, 2023 - Nicely dark in colour. Nose is very expressive, with smoke, meat, maybe a tinge of green pepper, blackberry fruit takes back seat to the other notes. Palate is medium to full bodied, sweet at first, with ripe blackberry and some plum, has a slightly bitter edge with some redcurrant. Overall - very nicely balanced and very fragrant and intense. Very peppery on the finish which is nice. Great value for such an interesting wine. Might be polarising - but I like it.
