87 Points

Saturday, April 9, 2011 - Shut down a bit now. Lots of stuff there, but mostly lurking just below the surface. Starts out with apple, peach, and pear, and honey with just hints of brown sugar, orange, lychee, and petrol. As it warmed from the 52F cellar lime, grapefruit, and citrus rind became apparent. Fairly long finish and balanced acidity. Worthwhile but a bit too subtle and veiled and age 9. Easy 5 pt upside potential, but give this one 5 more years before checking it again. Served with pork chops seasoned with sage and nutmeg, basmati rice with garam marsala and garlic, and dal with cumin, chilis, and caramelized onions.
